Apology + Fairy Tail Chapter 488 Discussion

Hi, Lynette here! So firstly, I missed Thursday Quotables, and I haven’t managed to find any good quotes either recently. Sorry about that.

And next comes my Fairy Tail Chapter 488 Discussion.

So first, Gajeel and Levy became officially canon I guess?

But I’ve thought about it more now and I actually think that Gajeel will most likely come back. After all, everyone thought Gray died that time during the Grand Magic Games Arc right, but then Ultear reversed time. Same with Lucy and probably a few others (but I’ve forgotten now). Mashima doesn’t really kill many characters, with Simon as one of the only people actually dying.

That being said, Fairy Tail is probably drawing to its end, which means deaths can be likely to happen. I’ve never read or watched Rave Master before but I think I’ve heard that it ends sadly, (I may be wrong though) so Mashima wanted to make Fairy Tail a happy series? Well I hope he sticks to that.

And secondly, darn it, Mest! It was meant to be just a negotiation but now look what you’ve done! I never really liked Mest to be honest, and I could never see him as a Fairy Tail member and I still probably won’t be able to.

Also I know it’s a bit late now, considering the fact that she’s already made quite a few appearances in the other chapters, but I love Eileen’s design! She’s probably the most well designed character in the whole series. Oh, I also wonder what relationship she has with Erza. She seems a bit too young to be her mother so maybe they’re sisters? Oh well I hope we can find out soon.

I also want to state that I really want to know what’s going to happen with Zervis (as its my OTP I can’t help but be excited). Cana is currently trying to break Mavis’ body out but what is Mavis actually going to do afterwards? Is she going to fight him or what?

(a bit of self-promo here) check out my wattpad @kiwikoneko if you want to read any fanfictions about Fairy Tail or One Piece!

Okay I’m not sure what else to say now, but I’m excited for the next chapter of FT coming out on Monday! If anyone has any thoughts, please comment!

Death Note

Death Note follows the story of a highly intelligent teenage boy called Light Yagami, who finds a notebook one day which allows him to kill anyone just by writing their name down. Excited by this idea of being able to become the God of a new world in which no criminals live in, Light starts to kill criminals using just the notebook. He soon becomes known to the world as Kira, and slowly becomes insane with this idea of a world without crime ruled by him.

However, L, who is an extremely clever and talented detective decides to start a case on finding and defeating Kira, giving Light a difficult obstacle to overcome.

This anime may sound like any ordinary detective or crime series, but is amazing and very unique, standing out from all other detective and crime anime, or stories in general. I highly recommend Death Note, particularly for those who like thrillers, but it is still an incredible anime for everyone, hooking me on very quick, and I’m not someone who particularly likes crime stories.

Fairy Tail Chapter 487 Thoughts and Discussions

So from now on I’m going to do a discussion thing about each chapter of Fairy Tail (I’m going to do this with One Piece and Attack On Titan too). I may also just do random predictions and theories too.

There will be spoilers!!!! Read at your own risk!!

Okay. So firstly.

Gajeel and Levy have become practically canon?? Gajeel has admitted that he ‘fell’ for Levy, and it’s been obvious that Levy has had a crush on Gajeel all this time, plus she stated she had only come to save him.

This alone has made any GaLe fangirls really excited, like me! I was spamming my friends about my excitement when I read the chapter.

However, is the ship going to die? From Zervis (one of my OTPS) that has been one of the only ships to actually be canon, there is always a possibility that GaLe will die as well. Maybe, like with Zervis, one of them is going to die. Or maybe both will die. Or maybe they will never get together. Honestly, Mashima, don’t make a ship canon and then kill it right afterwards!

The next chapter is called ‘The Two of Us Together, Forever and Always.’ I’m sure the next chapter is going to be about Gajeel and Levy again, so maybe they’re going to be completely canon and admit their love for each other?! But then I also think there’s a chance that they may end up in the Underworld together…

Another thing is that, after one of the long-awaited ships has finally become canon, it means Fairy Tail might be ending soon. I’m sure none of us want this to happen, but if GaLe is already pretty much canon, Nalu, Jerza, Gruvia (and other ships) will probably also become canon soon and then it will mean the end is drawing nearer.

Okay, that’s all I have to say about this chapter! I can’t wait until the next. If you have also read this chapter and have any thoughts on it, please comment!

Daily Lives of High School Boys

This anime series is exactly what the title says. It’s about the daily lives of typical high school boys. It mainly follows the story of Tadakuni, Yoshitake and Hidenori, who are some boys that love roleplays on the way to school, like telling ‘ghost stories’ which all turn out be extremely lame, like getting up to mischief such as wearing girls’ underwear and clothes, or just fooling around in general. It also shows some other boys from their school (such as those in the student council) and what sort of things they get up to.

This anime is hilarious and is certain to crack you up at some point. I would definitely recommend if you want a laugh, or just something to cheer you up!

A – Z About Me Tag (Lynette)

Hello! It’s Lynette here! So I’m here to do this tag because it looks fun. I think from reading this you’ll get what the tag is, if you haven’t heard of it before.

A – Age: 13. Yes I’m also pretty young, like my friends.

B – Book I’m currently reading: Crown of Midnight, which is part of the Throne of Glass series. I’ve pretty much only started so I don’t know what to think of it yet.

C – Chore you hate: Tidying up? It takes so long and is the most boring thing in the world.

D – Dessert you love: Um. Apple pie. Banoffee pie. Apple strudel. Butterscotch tart. (No I’m not deliberately doing A,B,A,B) Crumble and cream. Cake. Any cake. Especially cream cake. Ice cream. Everything else. I love desserts in general.

E – Essential start your day item: Duh, phone. I wake up, go on my phone and check all my social media apps and stuff. That’s my favourite way to start the day anyway.

F – Favourite Author/Book: Honestly I don’t have one. Authors have such different and unique writing styles it’s hard to compare them. Same with books. They’re too different to compare.

G – Gold or Silver: That’s actually kind of hard. I like both, although in the end I think I’m going to go for silver.

H – Height: About 1.6m – ish, I’m not too sure, I haven’t checked for ages. Keep in mind the fact that I’m 13, so I’m not some tiny 18 year old. I’m pretty much slightly taller than average for my age.

I – Instruments I play: Piano. Viola. I’ve played the drums before but I didn’t like them much, although at the time I thought they would be cool. I’ve played the piano for longest and started viola about a couple years ago.

J – Job title: Student?

K – Kids: 100, and they’re all named after me :). No I’m only 13, I’d be slightly worried if I already had kids.

L – Living arrangements: I live in my family house.

M – Most overused word/phrase in my vocabulary: For a time being it was ‘if you insist’ but right now I don’t really know. I love saying ‘mkay’ recently though.

N – Nicknames: Linny, or on some occasions, Lyn (although I really only have one friend who sometimes calls me Lyn). Sometimes my friends refer to me as stuff like ‘idiot’ but that’s what friends do, and it’s not really a nickname so I’m not going to take it in a bad way.

O – Overnight hospital stay other than birth: None.

P – Pet peeve: People jiggling their legs (I’m looking at you, Vibha) and also people who chew loudly in public. They annoy me so much.

Q – Quotes I like: Too many to name.

R – Right or left handed: Right-handed. I’m training myself to become ambidextrous though, although I don’t know if it’s possible to teach myself to be able to use both hands. It would be a lot easier if I could use both hands though.

S – Siblings: Two brothers. One is older and annoying and hits me a lot, whilst my younger one is a computer-addicted, also annoying, little kid.

T – Time I woke up today: About 9. But that’s because I was going out today, otherwise I probably would have only gotten up at 12pm.

U – Unique thing about me: I wish I could say I have one, but I can’t think of anything that unique about me right now (although I’m not a boring person I promise) Uh maybe because I’m just who I am, as each person is unique in themselves?? (If that makes sense) I’m sorry I can’t think of anything right now.

V – Vegetable I love: ….. is that even possible to have one?

W – Worst habit: Doing homework in bed. Sitting in bed on my phone in positions really bad for my neck (I have a terrible neck as well.) Procrastinating.

X – X-Rays I’ve had: Probably a few when I was younger but I can only remember one which was for my neck last year.

Y – Yummy food I make: EVERYTHING. No I don’t know how to cook much yet, although my family loves my sausage rolls? I tried Danish pastries once but they failed drastically, although they still tasted kinda good.

Z – Zodiac Sign: Virgo. I fit some Virgo descriptions, but I’m not a huge clean freak or someone really serious and stuff which some of them say although I am pretty shy. I don’t think people’s personalities or love lives can be determined by when you were born anyway, but zodiac signs are interesting.
I’m probably meant to tag some people but I honestly don’t know who (I don’t really go looking at other people’s blogs often, sorry) so I’m going to have to leave it, but if you feel like doing this then you can!

Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Bookworm Delights

So here I am for my first Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by those at The Broke and The Bookish. Every week a new ‘Top Ten’ topic appears, and you have to make your own bookish list for it. Anyone can do them, just make sure you link back to their blog!

This time, the one was Top Ten Bookworm Delights. So it’s basically ten things which a bookworm would love! It is in no particular order.

1. Buying new books

Well, being a bookworm, you love reading. You love books. So what’s better than buying a whole batch of books for yourself to bury your head into? New books are so much nicer than library books, as they’re so new and beautiful.

2. Discussing a book with friends

Being a solitary bookworm must be boring. So that’s why I’m glad all my friends are obsessed bookworms too! Talking about a book with your friends is one of the best topics to talk about.

3. Borrowing a whole tower of books from the library

Buying books requires money. So that’s why sometimes going to the library is the best choice. You can borrow a huge tower of books, and hide in your room reading away.

4. Reading for ages in bed or somewhere else comfy with hot chocolate

Lying in a bed and finding all the different positions you can use for reading is just great. It’s so comfy and warm to read in bed, and it’s a bonus if you have some sweet hot chocolate at the side too.

5. When a book you love gets made into a movie (even if it’s not that accurate)

Don’t you just love it when you can finally see one of your favourite books get turned into a proper movie? Of course, the book is always better, but seeing a book in action is awesome.

6. Really nice bookmarks

I don’t like folding the corner of a page in my book to keep my place. Bookmarks are the best. Especially if they’re really cool or pretty. My friends got me a bookmark as one of my birthday presents last year. Here is a picture of what they got for me.

7. Becoming attached to fictional characters

Fictional characters are 100 x better than real life people. Real people are just annoying. But fictional characters are so much more attractive. Don’t even bother disagreeing. You know it’s true.

8. Those beautiful hardbacks

Although paperbacks are lighter and easier to carry on, hardbacks look beautiful on a bookshelf. Especially the old classic types, but you don’t see those much unless if it’s for a really old book.

9. The scent of books

Books smell so wonderful. It’s such an indescribable scent, but they just smell so nice. It sounds weird, but they give off a lovely, homely smell.

10. Amazing books!

Those books which are so amazing that you can’t stop thinking or dreaming about them. Those books which you will forever love. Those books which have beautiful writing and beautiful plots.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this post! I’m sorry that it’s one day late, but I have been busy with revision and other things. If anyone has also done this post, put the link in the comments and I’ll try to check it out!

Musing Monday (April 18)

Musing Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Books and a Beat. Click here to see what it is. Apologies for posting this one day late though.

I wish I could read Scarlet, from The Lunar Chronicles, but all the copies in the book shop I visited had run out. I had bought Cinder after being recommended to it by my friends. It was a great book and I wanted to read further through the series but unfortunately Scarlet had been sold out, so I’ll have to wait to see what happens. I guess I could either go to a different book shop or go on Amazon as well.

A plot device that I dislike which is used way too much: Diaries about school life. Diaries aren’t necessarily boring, and school life books aren’t necessarily boring, but all of these tend to be very similar. They’re all usually about a not too popular boy or girl who usually has a best friend, and they often tend to include a mean character which the main character dislikes, and the main character often has a crush they talk about a lot.

Most of those diaries are quite funny, and amusing, but they honestly don’t get anywhere at all. They’re not very deep, have much meaning to them, and as said before, they all tend to be very similar, just with slightly different random events thrown into each book. Books about school are interesting, and diary entries give a real sense of emotion, but I would personally find it a lot more interesting to read about high school life in a complete different way which may give a more meaningful story as well.

Well anyway, that was my first Musing Monday! I hoped you guys reading this has enjoyed it, and if you have any thoughts or suggestions on how to make it better, please comment.
