Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Bookworm Delights

So here I am for my first Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by those at The Broke and The Bookish. Every week a new ‘Top Ten’ topic appears, and you have to make your own bookish list for it. Anyone can do them, just make sure you link back to their blog!

This time, the one was Top Ten Bookworm Delights. So it’s basically ten things which a bookworm would love! It is in no particular order.

1. Buying new books

Well, being a bookworm, you love reading. You love books. So what’s better than buying a whole batch of books for yourself to bury your head into? New books are so much nicer than library books, as they’re so new and beautiful.

2. Discussing a book with friends

Being a solitary bookworm must be boring. So that’s why I’m glad all my friends are obsessed bookworms too! Talking about a book with your friends is one of the best topics to talk about.

3. Borrowing a whole tower of books from the library

Buying books requires money. So that’s why sometimes going to the library is the best choice. You can borrow a huge tower of books, and hide in your room reading away.

4. Reading for ages in bed or somewhere else comfy with hot chocolate

Lying in a bed and finding all the different positions you can use for reading is just great. It’s so comfy and warm to read in bed, and it’s a bonus if you have some sweet hot chocolate at the side too.

5. When a book you love gets made into a movie (even if it’s not that accurate)

Don’t you just love it when you can finally see one of your favourite books get turned into a proper movie? Of course, the book is always better, but seeing a book in action is awesome.

6. Really nice bookmarks

I don’t like folding the corner of a page in my book to keep my place. Bookmarks are the best. Especially if they’re really cool or pretty. My friends got me a bookmark as one of my birthday presents last year. Here is a picture of what they got for me.

7. Becoming attached to fictional characters

Fictional characters are 100 x better than real life people. Real people are just annoying. But fictional characters are so much more attractive. Don’t even bother disagreeing. You know it’s true.

8. Those beautiful hardbacks

Although paperbacks are lighter and easier to carry on, hardbacks look beautiful on a bookshelf. Especially the old classic types, but you don’t see those much unless if it’s for a really old book.

9. The scent of books

Books smell so wonderful. It’s such an indescribable scent, but they just smell so nice. It sounds weird, but they give off a lovely, homely smell.

10. Amazing books!

Those books which are so amazing that you can’t stop thinking or dreaming about them. Those books which you will forever love. Those books which have beautiful writing and beautiful plots.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this post! I’m sorry that it’s one day late, but I have been busy with revision and other things. If anyone has also done this post, put the link in the comments and I’ll try to check it out!
